HEALTH - Die Slow

Die Slow is the first single off of Health's new album, Get Color. This song rules but we're gonna have to chill the fuck out because the record doesn't come out until September 8th. The 7" is available now.

Best Coast - Sun Was High (So Was I)

Bethany Cosentino

Best Coast is the side project of Pocahaunted's Bethany Cosentino. She describes the new tunes as "songs about summer and the sun and the ocean and being a lazy creep".

Amanda has a new project too. It's called Vibes.

Both of thesse bands have a lo-fi pop feel to them. Much different from the moaning & droning of Pocahaunted. Probably their most accesible music to date.

CQ

CQ Book (
Jeremy Davies & Angela Lindvall pictured)

Jason Schwartzman
& Giancarlo Giannini

Released in 2001 & set in 1969 Paris, CQ is a slight yet memorable movie about a movie. Solid performances all around especially from Angela Lindvall (who is a total babe) and even from Billy Zane, who I usually dislike. Daniel Faraday stars.

Below is the trailer for the movie inside the movie.

Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin - Orang Outan

Gang Gang Dance & Tinchy Stryder - Princes

Gang Gang Dance

Tinchy Stryder & Peaches Geldof

At one point I was shooting my mouth off that Gang Gang Dance was the best band in NYC. I don't know if I feel that way anymore but this song is slick & trippy as fuck. Enjoy.

Ponytail: Celebrate the Body Electric

That video is awesome.
I really like the song too.
Good walking music.
Definite summertime jam.

Ponytail should be a singles band.
